द्वापर युग और कलियुग के संधि काल में भगवान कृष्ण ने अवतार लिया भगवान कृष्ण स्वयं भगवान विष्णु के अवतार हैं जिन्होंने पृथ्वी पर से अधर्मियों का विनाश किया इन्हीं अधर्मियों के विनाश के लिए कुरुक्षेत्र का युद्ध हुआ कुरुक्षेत्र में भारत वर्ष के लगभग सभी राजाओं ने भाग लिया और अधर्मीयों का विनाश हुआ इस प्रकार से द्वापर युग के बाद कलयुग का प्रारंभ हुआ कलयुग अभी 432000 वर्ष का है जिसमें से सिर्फ 5000 वर्ष व्यतीत हुए हैं 5000 वर्ष व्यतीत होने के बाद आज सनातन धर्म की बहुत हानि हो चुकी है जैसा कि स्वयं भगवान कृष्ण ने भी भगवत गीता में कहा है कि सनातन धर्म की बहुत ही अधिक हानि हो गई है और उसी सनातन धर्म की हानि इतनी अधिक हो गई है कि इस पृथ्वी पर , पाप ,अधर्म और अशांति लगातार बढ़ती चली जा रही है |
